The SITE Poland Association has launched a new project called Young Leaders. Its primary goal is to support the development of young people starting their adventure in the meetings industry.

The program participants are students who want to gain experience in the MICE field. SITE Young Leaders is a program that gives young people the opportunity to gain experience in the field of incentive travel and establish unique contacts with professionals. It is also an opportunity to participate in interesting projects at the local and international level.
The offer to participate in the Young Leaders Program was addressed to students in December 2020. We conducted a multi-stage recruitment process and selected an international group of nine people. We have people from Poland, Belarus, India, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. They are young people, full of enthusiasm and willingness to take action and learn about our industry in a practical way, says Piotr Cieślak, member of the board of Site Poland, academic, and program supervisor.
What is the goal of the project? To create a strong group of young people within the association who, through their involvement in SITE Poland, will gain knowledge and experience, contribute their ideas and the fresh perspective of a new generation, and in the future become leaders not only of SITE but of the entire industry, says Krzysztof Michniewicz, member of the board of SITE Poland, one of the initiators and supervisors of the program.
One of the pillars of the program is mentoring. When planning your career and building a business, it is good to have someone experienced by your side who will support you in a crisis and advise you on what to do next. That is why each of the young leaders will be supervised by a mentor and educators. We want to inspire young people to develop personally and professionally, strengthen their leadership skills, and initiate appropriate attitudes and behaviors. We are preparing for the role of mentors under the guidance of certified mentor Marta Chmielewska. I believe that our mentoring program will continue to grow and that the relationship between mentor and mentee will be one of cooperation between student and master. – says Grażyna Grot-Duziak, President of the Board of SITE Poland.
SITE Poland plans to develop the program in cooperation with other associations and organizations as well as professionals from the MICE industry who want to support young talent.
