The SKKP online academy educational platform has launched another course entitled “Global trends in event organization,” led by Anna Górska. During the course, participants will learn about the trends influencing the MICE industry, how the pandemic has changed it, and how events will be organized in the future.

The course is part of the “Management in the MICE industry” series, which consists of 10 training sessions. After each training session, participants receive a certificate of completion, and after successfully completing all 10 training sessions, they receive an SKKP Academy Event Manager certificate. The training is free of charge for employees of the tourism industry, people seeking employment in the tourism sector, students, and graduates of tourism-related fields. Paid training is intended for management staff, i.e., managers in hotels, PCOs, DMCs, event agencies, and restaurants.

The course “Global trends in event organization” is divided into two modules and covers the following topics:

Module I

• The impact of the pandemic on the industry (results of reports and surveys by PCMA, ICCA, Kongres Magazine)

• How the world is coping with the crisis

• Why trends are important

• The new role of events, venues, destinations, and associations in the future. New employee competencies.

Module II

• Macro trends according to ICCA

• Characteristics of selected trends with the greatest impact on the industry:

safety, sustainable development, positive events impact, legacy, wellbeing, technology.

The course is complemented by a practical workshop entitled How to organize an eco-event, i.e. a sustainable event. The course includes reports from international organizations for independent study, including Future Meeting Space – The Future Role and Purpose of Business Events and ICCA Survey Report – The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the International Meetings Industry.

To participate in the training, simply register on the SKKP online education platform www.akademia.skkp.org.pl and, after receiving an activation link, you can take part in the courses at any time.

The project is implemented as part of a public task co-financed by the Ministry of Development, Labor, and Technology.
