The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development has announced the launch of a subsidy program for companies in the HoReCa industry (hospitality, catering, tourism, and culture sectors) affected by the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. The competition announcement is expected as early as the end of March 2024. As the order in which applications are submitted will be important, it is worth taking steps now to prepare for it.

Details and application forms are not yet available, but we would like to provide some basic information gathered by the Director of the Office, Dorota Zbińkowska, from various sources and specific information:

1. SMEs must operate under the PKD codes specified for HoReCa (these will be specified in detail, but you can expect 55.10.Z, %%.20.Z, 55.30Z, 56.10.A, 56.10.B, 56.21.Z, %6.29.Z, 56.30.Z, 59.14.Z, 77.21.Z, 77.34.Z, 35.Z, Section 77, 82.30,Z, 85.51.Z, 91)

2. The KPO will support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises undertaking projects involving:

– investments in the service or production base, such as construction works (including the construction and extension of facilities), new production lines, machinery and equipment necessary to launch new products/services,

– investments related to the green transition (in particular encouraging waste prevention through design, recycling/reuse of waste),

– implementation of renewable energy solutions and investments related to the use of digital technologies in connection with the need to change processes or the way the company operates;

– improving the qualifications of employees, including, for example, training;

– development services for supported SMEs, including, for example, the development of a feasibility study, a business model, and technical procedures.

3. The maximum co-financing may amount to 90% of the eligible project costs, under de minimis aid; the maximum grant amount is PLN 540,000.00.

4. The program operator responsible for the selection procedure for projects in the Mazowieckie Province is Towarzystwo Inwestycji Społeczno-Ekonomicznych S.A. (TISE S.A.).

5. A prerequisite for beneficiaries will be to demonstrate a minimum 20% decline in turnover in 2020 or 2021 compared to 2019 or 2020, respectively.

6. The project implementation period will probably be 12 months, and projects should be completed by January 2026.

The scope of support means that the project will cover, for example, the preparation of professional motorhome service areas, campsites, and other investments supporting the development of tourism and your company.
