Mazovia Convention News|

On February 18-20, Mazovia Convention Bureau, together with Warsaw Convention Bureau, participated in the Conventa Fair in Ljubljana. During face-to-face meetings with meeting planners from around the world, over 30 individual conversations took place, where we had the opportunity to present the advantages of Warsaw and Mazovia for the MICE industry.

Conventa is not just an event – it is a dynamic and transformative experience that has been at the forefront of the B2B MICE industry for over a decade. Over the years, Conventa has evolved beyond the boundaries of a traditional business fair to become a key meeting place for event organizers looking for destinations and venues in New Europe. The Conventa trade fair attracted a total of 184 hosted buyers, including 38 from the Alpe-Adria region and 146 from Europe, the US, and the Middle East, representing 34 countries. The event was attended by 124 exhibitors from 17 different countries. Conventa is organized by the Slovenian Convention Bureau and Toleranca marketing in cooperation with Ljubljana Tourism, the Slovenian Tourist Board, and 20 strategic partners.

During the talks at the Mazovia Convention Bureau and Warsaw Convention Bureau table, the participants were pleasantly surprised by the diverse and rich offer of Warsaw and Mazovia, its transport accessibility, and the possibilities for activities related to cuisine, history, and culture.

They were particularly interested in the following details of the offer:

– new attractions in Warsaw: hotels, attractions, activities, post-industrial facilities (Norblin, Browary, Elektrownia),

– the capital’s diverse offer: a green city (parks, the Vistula River), the historic old town and the ever-developing business district of Warsaw,

– unique sites in Mazovia: close to nature (Hotel Narvil, Julinek Amusement Park), manors/palaces (Mała Wieś Palace, Żelazowa Wola), unique sites related to various activities (Karolin-Mazowsze, Suntago, Dwórzno Vineyard),

– cultural programs: the Chopin Trail, Karolin – home and performance venue of the Mazowsze folk ensemble,

– cuisine: food halls in Warsaw, culinary workshops,

– water attractions: Suntago, teambuilding activities in kayaks and pontoons.

The participants mainly represented European countries, with the largest number of representatives from Germany, Slovenia, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, and Greece.

The event was complemented by accompanying events: networking events, discussion sessions, city walks and the Meetings Star Award 2025 Gala, in which Warsaw won the prestigious 1st place in the “New Europe Meeting Destinations” category.

We can therefore confidently say that the Conventa 2025 Fair was a great success for Warsaw and Mazovia.
