On September 4, the first post-summer meeting of the incentive travel industry, organized by SITE Poland, took place. The event brought together representatives of the MICE sector and provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, present new initiatives, and discuss the future of the industry. The meeting was partnered by the Poland Convention Bureau POT, which presented its original educational project, Destination Poland Green Academy.

The meeting took place at the PaTaThai restaurant in Warsaw’s Powiśle district, which fostered integration and the exchange of opinions in an atmosphere conducive to both work and informal conversations. SITE Poland and the Poland Convention Bureau would like to thank all participants for their active participation and contribution to the development of the industry.
Incentive Travel Sustainable Development Manifesto
The first item on the agenda was the presentation of the Incentive Travel Sustainable Development Manifesto, a document developed by association members Grażyna Grot-Duziak, Dorota Cholewa, Emilia Kubik, Beata Koziarska, and Grażyna Łukaszyk. The Manifesto, which is the result of two editions of the Responsible Incentive Travel Day conference, is a compendium of good practices and guidelines for professionals planning and implementing incentive travel.

The document emphasizes the importance of education, social responsibility, and care for the natural environment in the process of designing incentive events. The presentation of the Sustainable Incentive Travel Manifesto is an important step towards a responsible approach to incentive travel and is an invitation to further cooperation for the sustainable development of the MICE sector.
The Sustainable Incentive Tourism Manifesto, which we have prepared as part of Site Poland, is proof that the industry wants to and can act responsibly. As incentive travel organizers, we have been implementing these principles step by step for years and are ambassadors of these ideas. The ten pillars and recommendations contained in the document are so universal that they can be an inspiration for agencies, hotels, and local tourist organizations operating within the framework of destination marketing. That is why I am delighted that, together with the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organization, we are launching the Destination Poland Green Academy project, which will see practical workshops held in six Polish cities with the participation of the local tourism industry, showing how to implement these principles in everyday work and build a more conscious and sustainable offer said Beata Koziarska, Vice President of Site Poland, co-author of the SITE Poland Sustainable Incentive Tourism Manifesto and the Green Talks interview series, Managing Director and CEO of the EMOVEO GROUP agency, and co-author and trainer for the Destination Poland Green Academy PCB POT project.

The meeting was partnered by the Poland Convention Bureau POT, which announced the launch of its own educational project – Destination Poland Green Academy. The initiative will cover six Polish cities and aims to create a platform for systematic education, knowledge exchange, and good practices in the field of sustainable tourism.
The project is an important step towards raising environmental awareness among representatives of the MICE industry, while supporting the development of innovative solutions and building Poland’s competitiveness as a responsible tourist destination.

We would like to thank all the representatives of city and regional convention bureaux who attended yesterday’s meetings in Warsaw. September is a very busy month, so we focused on efficiency. In one day, we managed to organize a training session, two premieres, consultations on the ministerial MICE sub-strategy, and a working meeting of the PCB and CVBs at the headquarters of the Polish Tourist Organization, said Aneta Książek, manager of the Poland Convention Bureau.
