On September 4, 2025, a meeting of national, regional, and municipal convention bureaus was held in Warsaw at the headquarters of the Polish Tourist Organization. The event brought together representatives of the Poland Convention Bureau POT and partners from across the country to summarize activities, present new projects, and discuss future directions for the development of the meetings industry in Poland. Mazovia was represented at the meeting by Iwona Majewska, head of the Mazovia Convention Bureau.

The origins of the Polish Convention Bureau
The Poland Convention Bureau (PCB) has been operating within the structures of the Polish Tourist Organization since 2002 as a national convention bureau whose mission is to support the development of the meetings industry and promote Poland as an attractive MICE destination. Over the years, as a result of close cooperation and the growing importance of this sector, a network of local convention bureaus – both regional and municipal – has been established in Poland. Currently, there are several units operating in the largest and medium-sized centers in the country, which together with the PCB form a coherent platform for the promotion and professional service of business events.

Key issues discussed during the meeting
Support programs for the MICE industry
Participants were familiarized with the rules of the Promotional Support Program for Meetings and Events and the reactivated National Support Program for the Meetings Industry, implemented in cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines. The importance of the results achieved so far, including international events, was emphasized.

A series of strategic workshops on sustainable incentive travel and responsible travel, to be held in second and third choice cities, was announced. The project will result in, among other things, an e-book with good practices and a series of interviews entitled “Green Talks.”
Plans for 2026
A calendar of key events was presented, including Connect Aviation in Lublin, the Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala, the Impact Congress in Poznań, and the fifth edition of “Spotlight on Poland.”
