On September 29, the 12th edition of the THINK MICE Mashup Meetings series took place at the Norblin Factory in Warsaw. As every year, the event brought together key representatives of the MICE industry – leaders of associations, corporations, agencies, destinations, and venues. Mazovia Convention Bureau had the pleasure of being a partner of the event.

The aim of the meeting was to create broad networking opportunities and to take a look at the current state of the MICE industry and the trends prevailing in it, as well as to determine how the future of our sector is likely to develop. For years, Mashup Meetings has been creating a space for discussions about the most important challenges facing the industry. This year’s edition showed that we are facing a redefinition of operating models, but at the same time we have enormous potential to build the “factory of the future” for MICE together. It is no coincidence that we met at the Norblin Factory – a place that was once industrial, and today is bustling with culture and events. This perfectly illustrates the path of our industry: in the past, meetings were mainly about logistics, today they are a space for ideas, values, and innovation. I would like to sincerely thank our partners, panelists, and moderator for their contribution to this event. It is thanks to you that Mashup has such great power and significance for the entire community, said Anna Łukasik, CEO and publisher of THINK MICE.

The event began with a cocktail reception, but the main point of the program was a debate at KinoGram moderated by Edyta Drożdż (Level+, auditor, consultant), in which representatives of all meeting industry associations operating in Poland took part: Żaneta Berus (Event Industry Association – SBE), Jakub Ćwikliński (SAR Event Agency Club), Krzysztof Pobożniak (Incentive Travel Organizers Association – SOIT), Anastazja Szerkus (SITE Poland), Agnieszka Szymerowska (Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association – SKKP) and Barbara Świderska (MPI Poland Chapter). Their conversation focused on the challenges facing the MICE world – from the growing role of AI, through ESG and wellbeing, to generational changes and changing customer needs, as well as maintaining Poland’s competitiveness in a global context (including competition with Asian markets).

After the substantive part, the guests met for a festive networking dinner in the Gimlet room, accompanied by live music performed by the band Serwus Panie (Polish Music Scene). It was the perfect opportunity to continue the conversations and establish new relationships over good food (Plated Catering) and in a less formal atmosphere. There were also symbolic gifts funded by the Partners.

THINK MICE Mashup Meetings is a series of business and networking meetings with the participation of representatives of various segments of the meetings industry and its economic and institutional environment. Their aim is to build a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences, establishing new contacts, and seeking solutions to the most important problems and challenges facing the meetings industry. We invite corporate, company, and association event planners, subcontractors, and MICE service providers to attend the events.

The 12th edition of THINK MICE Mashup Meetings was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. Its partners were: Event Hall / Fabryka Norblina (Venue Partner), Croatian Tourist Board, Mazovia Convention Bureau, Poland Convention Bureau POT (Gold Partners) and Hala Stulecia, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and Polska Scena Muzyczna (Supporting Partners).
