In the world of modern MICE, a location is no longer just a background – it has become an integral part of the event’s narrative. On February 26, 2026, the heart of the capital – specifically the Museum of the University of Warsaw – served as the stage for a gathering that proved Masovia’s most prestigious academic spaces are ready to host the most demanding business projects.

The event, organized by the Mazovia Convention Bureau (MCB) in cooperation with the Association of the Event Industry (SBE) and the Warsaw Tourism Organization (WOT), attracted nearly 60 leading meeting planners, event agency representatives, and conference organizers.

Mazovia Convention Bureau: Strategic Support for the Region
During the meeting, the MCB team presented key tools designed to strengthen the position of Warsaw and Masovia as leaders in business tourism within Central and Eastern Europe. Particular attention was paid to the two pillars of the Bureau’s activity:
- The Polish Congress Ambassadors Program: An initiative that facilitates the acquisition of international scientific events through cooperation with prominent representatives of the academic world.
- The Recommendation System for PCOs and ITCs: A tool that helps planners select verified, professional partners to execute complex projects within the Masovia region.
Promoting high-profile venues like the University of Warsaw is part of the MCB’s broader strategy to demonstrate that Masovia offers a unique “spirit of place” that is impossible to replicate in standard convention centers.

University Site Inspection: From History to Modernity
The host of the meeting, Prof. Hubert Kowalski, Director of the Museum of the University of Warsaw, passionately outlined the potential of the main campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście. Participants had the opportunity to see that the University is not just about lecture halls, but multi-functional auditoriums, historic gardens, and prestigious palaces (including the Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace and the Old Library) capable of hosting everything from intimate galas to large-scale congresses.
A key highlight of the program was the site inspection. Meeting planners were able to evaluate the campus logistics firsthand, noting the availability of modern audiovisual systems within historic walls and the unique atmosphere that adds prestige to any scientific or business event.

Why This Matters for the Tourism Industry
For Warsaw and Masovia, the opening of higher education institutions to the MICE sector means expanding the venue database with locations that possess “soul.” The cooperation between science and business, animated by the MCB, generates tangible benefits for local hotels, restaurateurs, and transport companies by attracting high-spending business tourists to the region.
The networking session over coffee that concluded the event was not only an opportunity to exchange business cards but, above all, a space to design specific events that may soon take place within the walls of Warsaw’s oldest university.

Event Partners
The success of the “Campus Full of Possibilities” meeting is the result of synergy between key organizations in the tourism and events sector:
- Association of the Event Industry (SBE) – providing substantive support and integration of the event organizer community.
- Warsaw Tourism Organization (WOT) – promoting tourism in the capital.
- Museum of the University of Warsaw – host and substantive guardian of the campus spaces.
- University of Warsaw – partner providing the infrastructure.
