Mazovia Convention News|

The MICE market in Masovia is undergoing a fascinating evolution. We are no longer perceived solely as a conference back-office for Central Europe; instead, we are becoming a key partner for the most innovative projects at the intersection of culture, technology, and entertainment. A perfect example of this trend was the recent study visit by representatives of the Italian firm Lux Holding, which took place on March 16–17.

Lux Holding is a global leader in creating large-format immersive experiences, renowned for productions such as the “Balloon Museum” and “This is Wonderland.” Their interest in our region is a clear signal: Masovia possesses the infrastructure and the potential to host events that have previously resided in cities like Madrid, Rome, or Paris.

Day 1: Industrial Chic and Warsaw Elegance

The first stage of the visit focused on Warsaw’s unique spaces, which resonate perfectly with the narrative of modern art. Thanks to close cooperation between the Mazovia Convention Bureau (MCB) and the Warsaw Tourism Organization (WOT), the guests were able to explore the potential of the Soho Art Center and Butelkownia. These post-industrial spaces, combining raw architecture with modern infrastructure, provide the perfect backdrop for immersive exhibitions where light and sound take center stage.

We did not forget the “Hospitality Spirit”—a visit to the capital would not be complete without cultural and culinary highlights. Lunch at ORZO and an evening concert at Chopin Point Warsaw showed our guests from Rome that Warsaw is a city where big business meets the authentic heritage of Fryderyk Chopin. The day culminated in a commented tasting at Elixir by Dom Wódki, which left an extraordinary impression on the visitors.

Day 2: Scale and Space – Julinek Park in the Spotlight

The second day of the visit took us beyond the city limits to Julinek Park. This was the setting for key discussions regarding bringing a massive, interactive immersive exhibition to Masovia. Julinek, with its unique circus history and vast event grounds, offered something many European metropolises lack: space without limits.

During the site inspection, which involved the Park’s operational and sales management, the team demonstrated the terrain’s capacity to adapt to demanding outdoor immersion projects. It is precisely this flexibility of Masovian venues that serves as our greatest asset in negotiations with foreign partners.

The finale of the visit was purely sensory. A cruise on a traditional krypa boat along the Vistula River and a tasting dinner at Marina Warszawa allowed the Lux Holding representatives to literally “taste” Masovia. Traditional Polish cuisine in a modern edition proved to be an excellent tool for building business relationships.

Mazovia Convention Bureau: A Bridge Between the Region and the World

The activities of the Mazovia Convention Bureau (MCB) during this fam trip are part of a broader strategy to open Masovia to international clients. We are demonstrating that the region is not just about hotels, but a coherent ecosystem: from professional accommodation bases like Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The Hub, to unique attractions that give every event a one-of-a-kind character.

For the local tourism industry, visits like this represent an opportunity for long-term contracts and for positioning the region as a leader in modern event formats. Masovia is ready for immersion—technologically, culturally, and professionally.
