Warsaw, as the heart of the Polish meetings industry, and the Masovia region – the natural backdrop for large-scale events – both require a workforce that understands not only the theory of tourism management but can also navigate the dynamic world of digital technologies. This central idea – the transfer of specialized practical knowledge guided the first 2026 meeting of the “Creators’ Lab” (Laboratorium Twórców) series, held at the headquarters of the Polish Tourism Organisation.

The event, organized by the Poland Convention Bureau (PCB POT), brought together 30 Master’s students from the Józef Piłsudskiego University of Physical Education in Warsaw (AWF). For the Masovian tourism sector, this is a vital signal: the future managers who will soon join Warsaw’s hotels, congress centers, and event agencies are training under top practitioners, working with real-world case studies from the global market.
Why is Practical Education Key for Masovia?
In the MICE industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), the product is the experience. To sell it effectively, proficiency in digital marketing is essential. As noted by Dr. Agnieszka Muszyńska from AWF Warsaw, combining science with an inspiring atmosphere and hands-on practice is crucial. For the Masovia region, this translates into an influx of specialists ready to implement immediate innovations, directly boosting the destination’s competitiveness in the eyes of international organizers.

Workshop Program: From Storytelling to Artificial Intelligence
The workshops, led by expert Jarosław Marciuk (PCB POT), provided a comprehensive overview of the tools necessary for modern MICE promotion. The program was divided into several key thematic blocks:
- The “Instagrammization” of MICE and Storytelling: An analysis of Instagram as a tool for building emotional bonds with event participants. The focus was on video formats, “behind the scenes” content, and the role of User-Generated Content (UGC).
- B2B Influencer Marketing: Breaking stereotypes regarding collaboration with creators. Students analyzed campaigns conducted during major industry trade fairs, such as IMEX Frankfurt and IBTM World in Barcelona. Emphasis was placed on the importance of micro- and nano-influencers as credible brand ambassadors.
- Modern Digital Marketing Workshop: A presentation of tools for social listening (web monitoring), data analysis, and highly relevant today – the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in communication planning.
- Building Coherent Messaging: A workshop on multi-channel communication planning, with a specific focus on visual and substantive consistency surrounding business events.

The Strategic Significance of the Initiative
The “Creators’ Lab” project is not merely an incidental training session. It is a platform that, since 2023, has trained nearly 1,500 people, gaining industry recognition and becoming a finalist for the MP Impact Awards 2024. The initiative has been integrated into the “Strategy for Integrated Marketing Communication in Tourism to 2030,” highlighting its national and regional importance.
For Warsaw and Masovia, the presence of such educational projects right here in the capital is invaluable. It allows for the construction of a strong ecosystem where the academic world (AWF Warsaw) intersects with the public sector (POT) and the private sector (the MICE industry).
