For years, the IMEX international trade show in Frankfurt has been defining the development paths for the global meetings, events, and incentive travel industry. Established at the beginning of the 21st century, the event has evolved from a European networking exchange into a powerful, worldwide business platform. Each year, the halls of Messe Frankfurt become the place where thousands of qualified organizers (so-called hosted buyers) and exhibitors from over a hundred countries decide on the location of multi-million conference contracts. This year’s edition confirmed the exhibition’s status as a barometer of industry sentiment – the halls were buzzing with life, bringing together opinion leaders, event agencies, and corporate planners looking for fresh, safe, and well-connected destinations.

Poland at the Forefront of the European Offer
The Polish meetings industry returned to Frankfurt with an exceptionally coherent and modern program, organized under the auspices of the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourism Organisation. The Polish National Stand (No. A455) became one of the most dynamic spots in Hall 8. The promotional strategy was based on the slogan “Better Together – More Than You Expected,” which perfectly reflected the spirit of cooperation between the regions. This year, the Szczecin Convention Bureau was the special partner of the stand, but the strength of the Polish exposition lay in its diversity – from professional destination management companies (DMCs) and key hotels to the national carrier, LOT Polish Airlines. An intensive networking program, including business “Musical Mornings” and evening “Eventprofs Meetup” gatherings, attracted hundreds of foreign partners, facilitating relationship-building in a less formal atmosphere.

United Forces of the Capital and the Region
A key element of the promotional strategy for the heart of Poland was the joint presence of the Warsaw Convention Bureau and the Mazovia Convention Bureau. Presenting Warsaw as a dynamic business metropolis in perfect symbiosis with Masovia – a region offering unique natural values, historic residences, and a slow travel philosophy – turned out to be a bullseye. This cooperation allowed for the presentation of a comprehensive offer: from major congresses utilizing the capital’s infrastructure to intimate, luxury incentive trips and green meetings in venues located just outside Warsaw. Foreign planners reacted with appreciation to such a coherent tourism product, combining big-city professionalism with regional authenticity.

Key Benefits for Masovia and Summary
The participation of the Mazovia Convention Bureau in this year’s IMEX Frankfurt is not only a matter of prestige but, above all, brings tangible economic and image benefits for the entire Masovian Voivodeship. Direct B2B talks with foreign decision-makers resulted in securing valuable requests for proposals (RFPs) for the upcoming seasons. For Masovia, this means a real opportunity to increase the number of international conferences and exclusive incentive trips outside of Warsaw itself, which stimulates the local hotel and catering markets, as well as event service providers. Promoting the region as a sustainable and safe destination fits perfectly into current market trends. Thanks to the success in Frankfurt, Masovia has strengthened its position as a mature leader in the Central European MICE market, ready to welcome the most demanding clients.
