The Masovian Regional Tourism Organisation recently participated in a webinar hosted as part of the Poland Destination Specialist program. Developed by the Polish Tourism Organisation International Office (ZOPOT) in Chicago and launched in January 2026, this initiative is a comprehensive training and certification tool dedicated to Poland, specifically designed for North American travel advisors.

Empowering North American Travel Advisors
The program directly responds to the growing interest in Poland as a destination that seamlessly blends authentic culture, rich history, and a modern tourism offering. Its primary goal is to cultivate specialized experts in selling and promoting Poland.
Through a newly launched e-learning platform, participants gain access to a structured educational pathway that includes:
- Webinars and thematic modules
- Digital resources and materials
- Optional in-person workshops
The curriculum delivers practical knowledge, sales tools, and up-to-date content to help advisors effectively meet the needs of today’s travelers. The program aims to train and certify over 500 travel agents and advisors from the United States and Canada via the dedicated Poland Destination Specialist platform.
A Strategic Investment in Tourism
The strong interest among advisors in these online training sessions sends a clear signal: the market is looking for well-prepared specialists who can professionally and credibly promote Poland as a premier travel destination.
The Poland Destination Specialist program is a long-term investment in competence, quality, and building a strong position for Poland in the North American market—driven by experts who directly influence their clients’ travel decisions.
The comprehensive scope of the training includes:
- Urban and cultural tourism & UNESCO World Heritage sites
- Culinary travel & wellness and spa offerings
- Family tourism & pilgrimages
- MICE and business travel
- Active recreation & seasonal travel (from the mountains to the Baltic coast)
Upon completing the program, advisors earn the official title of Poland Destination Specialist and unlock exclusive benefits. These include priority invitations to familiarization trips (FAM trips) and enhanced visibility across ZOPOT Chicago’s B2B channels. Every trained agent substantially increases the likelihood of Poland being selected as a preferred destination, which is why reaching these professionals is so vital.
Presenting the Best of Mazovia
The webinar targeted American travel agents and advisors, guiding them through Poland’s most captivating regions, cities, and tourism products, while providing the insights needed to create compelling itineraries.
During our presentation, we highlighted the immense potential of Mazovia as a diverse, authentic, and inspiring region. Our showcase spanned:
- Warsaw’s dynamic offerings: Highlighting its cultural, historical, and business landmarks.
- Hidden gems of the region: Showcasing heritage, pristine nature, local flavors, and bespoke, tailor-made travel options.
We emphasized that Mazovia is exceptionally well-prepared to welcome both leisure tourists seeking unique experiences, culture, and relaxation, as well as business guests looking to leverage our highly developed infrastructure for meetings, conferences, and events.
Looking Ahead
The session saw an impressive turnout of over 50 travel agents from the American market. This high attendance and enthusiastic response to Mazovia’s presentation give us great confidence that many of these advisors—and their clients—will soon visit our region to personally discover Mazovia, the heart of Poland.
We extend our sincere thanks to ZOPOT Chicago for the opportunity to participate in this project and for our shared mission in promoting Poland and Mazovia across North America.
