The foundation of any mature branch of the economy is reliable and up-to-date analytical data. In the case of the meetings industry, properly mapping the market requires close cooperation and the active participation of all key stakeholders in the MICE sector. Only a broad representation—including hotels, conference venues, PCOs, DMCs, incentive agencies, independent organizers, and local government representatives—allows for the collection of reliable management information. Precise market analysis serves as the starting point for building the region’s strategic position on both the international and national stages.

As part of the project “Mazovia Events Impact 2025 – knowledge, competences, and quality of service in the meetings industry of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship,” co-financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, a series of three online training meetings took place, bringing together a group of MICE industry professionals and representatives of educational institutions. During the sessions held on the Zoom platform, the current market situation was analyzed, and the methodology of the upcoming meetings and events market study in Mazovia was introduced.
The primary substantive goal of the ongoing analytical activities is to develop a comprehensive final report that will clearly demonstrate the real, measurable impact of the meetings industry on the economy of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. This publication will provide the market with key macroeconomic indicators, including:
- The estimated contribution of the meetings industry to the GDP of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, which will allow for a precise determination of the sector’s share in building the region’s wealth.
- The contribution of the meetings industry to the gross output of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, illustrating the full scale of financial turnover generated by events.
- The impact on job creation in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, defining the role of the MICE sector as a stable employer stimulating the employment market.
Thanks to the data obtained in the study, the Mazovian MICE industry will gain a tool for further promotional activities, service optimization, and conducting effective dialogue with decision-makers. Understanding the real economic value that events bring to the region’s budget is the key to increasing the overall competitiveness of Mazovia.
We would like to thank all participants for their valuable time, substantive contribution, and openness. The next steps are ahead of us—together, we are building a new quality and the future of the Mazovian meetings industry!
