Mazovia Convention News|

Nothing builds trust in a destination as effectively as the opportunity to experience it firsthand. In the MICE industry, where success hinges on the finest details, direct contact with the infrastructure, atmosphere, and local culture is irreplaceable. A perfect testament to this was the MICE FAM TRIP POLEN – WARSCHAU, organized from July 3–5, 2026. This visit served as a premier platform to showcase the full potential of Warsaw and the entire Mazovia region to key experts from the German market.

The German MICE Industry Visits the Heart of Poland

The event brought together 7 representatives from MICE agencies across various regions of Germany, including Munich, Düsseldorf, and Berlin. The initiative was spearheaded by Mazurkas DMC Poland—an active member of the Mazovia Regional Tourist Organization (MROT) and a recommended DMC/PCO partner of the Mazovia Convention Bureau. The success of this study tour was made possible through strong partnership, with key entities involved in the organization including euromic, Sofitel Warsaw Victoria, the Warsaw Convention Bureau, and the Mazovia Convention Bureau.

The project aimed to prove that Warsaw and Mazovia are complete, modern destinations, fully equipped to host even the most demanding event formats: from congresses and conferences to incentive programs and special events.

An Inspiring Firsthand Experience

Why is organizing fam trips so fundamental? Because it allows international planners to physically experience an offer they previously only knew from catalogs or multimedia presentations. During their three-day stay, the German guests experienced the diversity of the capital, its modern logistical infrastructure, and the unique venues that set the tone for the contemporary meetings industry.

The itinerary featured iconic and inspiring locations:

  • Sofitel Warsaw Victoria: This historic hotel, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, provided accommodation for the participants. Planners highly praised its prime location in the heart of the city and its extensive capabilities for hosting major conferences and business meetings.
  • Norblin Factory: Here, guests sampled local delicacies during an “Eat Like a Local” lunch at Food Town. This was a standout highlight, as the rich and exquisite culinary scene was one of the most widely praised assets of the visit. Participants also toured multifunctional spaces, including the Gimlet Bar, the Event Hall in Kinogram, and the Art Box Experience.
  • Highline Warsaw: This space wowed the invited guests with its panoramic views of Warsaw’s metropolitan skyline, proving that the capital boasts truly world-class venues.

Mazovia: Comfort and Nature Within Arm’s Reach

A highly significant element of the promotional strategy was showcasing the potential of Mazovia beyond the borders of Warsaw itself. The Mazovia Convention Bureau placed a strong emphasis on presenting the region as a green oasis that offers high-end properties just about an hour’s drive from the capital.

Key takeaway from the discussions: German meeting planners showed immense interest in organizing events outside the city center. They are actively looking for destinations that combine convenient, efficient access and professional service with opportunities for relaxation and team-building surrounded by pristine nature.

What Captivated Our Neighbors the Most?

In the opinion of the invited guests, Warsaw and the Mazovia region performed exceptionally well. The German partners paid particular attention to aspects that are crucial for discerning corporate clients:

  • The modernity and cleanliness of urban spaces.
  • An abundance of green areas and a wide range of options for outdoor activities.
  • High service standards and the professionalism of conference facilities.
  • Unique venues that allow for out-of-the-box event design.
  • Excellent, diverse cuisine that serves as the perfect complement to any program.

The high quality of the infrastructure combined with the flexibility of the local offerings reassured participants that the region allows for the seamless design of classic business agendas, as well as incentive, lifestyle, and team-building trips.
