Mazovia Convention News|

On July 10–12, Warsaw and Mazovia once again became a gathering point for representatives of the international MICE industry. The NYX Hotel Warsaw hosted the Destinations UNLIMITED DMC Global Workshop, bringing together meeting planners from the United Kingdom and Destination Management Company (DMC) representatives from around the world. The Mazovia Convention Bureau joined as a key partner, actively presenting the region’s potential as a destination for conferences, congresses, business events, and incentive travel.

Destinations UNLIMITED is one of the world’s oldest networks representing DMCs, operating in the meetings industry since 1989. As a pioneer in the field, it works with carefully vetted DMC partners across dozens of destinations. Its mission is to connect event planners and agencies with experienced local partners who provide comprehensive delivery of programs in their respective countries. Poland is represented in the network by Mazurkas DMC Poland, which also co-organized the group’s stay in Poland.

International Business Talks in Warsaw

The first part of the workshop focused on one-on-one B2B meetings. UK agency representatives had the opportunity to discover the offerings of DMCs operating across various global regions, discuss upcoming projects, and build relationships capable of bringing future international events to life.

As event partners alongside Poland Convention Bureau, Warsaw Convention Bureau, and NYX Hotel Warsaw, the Mazovia Convention Bureau welcomed participants during the official opening, presenting Mazovia as a modern, diverse, and inspiring destination for the meetings industry.

Participation in the event allowed the region’s offer to reach UK market representatives directly—including organizers of conferences, incentive trips, and corporate events. It was also an opportunity to demonstrate that Mazovia’s appeal extends beyond modern conference venues and convenient transport accessibility to include authentic locations, local flavors, nature, and unique experiences that serve as the foundation for extraordinary incentive programs. Alongside promotional materials at the Mazovia Convention Bureau stand, guests enjoyed Grójec apples (bearing the EU Protected Geographical Indication certification) thanks to cooperation with the W.A.R.K.A. association, as well as the famous craft Pierniczki Staropolskie (Old Polish Gingerbreads) from Zaścianek Polski in Siedlce—a multi-award-winning product, including the prestigious Laurel of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.

From B2B Meetings to Exploring the Destination

On the second day, attendees continued business discussions in another round of individual meetings. Following the workshop sessions, it was time for hands-on exploration of Mazovia.

The program kicked off with an engaging city game, offering a unique perspective on Warsaw. Participants then traveled to Nuna Vineyard, located in Mazovia about 40 kilometers from the capital. En route, they learned about the voivodeship’s key assets, top attractions, and event possibilities both in Warsaw and beyond. The regional presentation concluded with a Mazovia trivia quiz; participants tested what they had learned about the destination, with winners receiving regional gifts while everyone enjoyed the friendly competition.

A Regional Experience at Nuna Vineyard

The visit to Nuna Vineyard showcased a more intimate and authentic side of the region to international guests. Nestled in the Mazovian countryside, this family-owned vineyard leverages local climate conditions and light, well-drained soil to produce wines under the Grande Cosa brand. The estate offers wine tastings, hosts events, and collaborates on various initiatives.

A tasting of local wines, a meeting with the owners, and a dinner among the vines created an ideal setting for conversation and networking. The itinerary allowed guests not only to sample regional products, but to experience Mazovian hospitality firsthand.

Venues like this serve as attractive complements to conferences, business meetings, and incentive trips based in Warsaw. Proximity to the capital makes it easy to combine the professional infrastructure of a major city with intimate out-of-town experiences.

Mazovia – More Than an Event Destination

The Mazovia Convention Bureau’s partnership in the Destinations UNLIMITED DMC Global Workshop forms part of a consistent effort to strengthen Mazovia’s international recognition within the meetings industry.

Direct engagement with foreign meeting planners allows the region to showcase its capabilities to decision-makers responsible for selecting destinations and local partners. At the same time, the event program demonstrated that Mazovia offers a complete experience: from professional B2B meetings and Warsaw’s modern infrastructure to local flavors, nature, culture, and memorable spaces for team building.

We extend our thanks to co-organizer Mazurkas DMC Poland and all partners—Warsaw Convention Bureau, NYX Hotel, and Nuna Vineyard—for their collaboration in promoting Warsaw and Mazovia internationally.

Situated in the heart of Poland, Mazovia is a region worth discovering with all the senses—including during meetings, conferences, and incentive travel.
